Produce Sweater According to Sample: How We Replicate Your Garment

Compared with designing from artwork, choosing to produce a sweater according to sample has a more direct starting point: you send us a garment, we recreate it. But behind "recreate it" sits a rigorous reverse-engineering process.

Stage 1: deconstruction and measurement. The garment is laid flat and measured across every key dimension, while a sleeve or neck panel is unraveled to count courses and wales per inch — the base data for gauge recovery and size grading.

Stage 2: yarn analysis. The unraveled yarn is tested for composition and linear density to determine count and twist; if the original yarn is unavailable, we propose the closest alternative for your approval.

Stage 3: gauge identification. Loop density plus yarn thickness yields the original machine gauge (3G / 5G / 7G / 12G), ensuring the replica keeps the same "bone structure" as the original.

Stage 4: stitch reconstruction. The technician reads the original stitch by stitch — cable direction, rib ratio, jacquard repeats — and writes everything into the knitting program.

Stage 5: spec sheet. All findings are consolidated into a complete technical specification. Every future reorder follows this same document, keeping quality consistent run after run.

Stage 6: first-sample confirmation. The replica sample ships to you for side-by-side comparison with the original — hand-feel, drape and dimensions — and fine-tuning finalizes the bulk standard.
